Pianist Noah Umamoto is an emerging concert artist on the Monterey Peninsula, and has
recently been gaining national attention as one of the leading undergraduate chamber pianists
in the United States. In his early childhood he studied with Ladine Galimba and Lyn Bronson. He
went on to advanced study with pianist James Neiman, under whose direction he has
participated in numerous master classes, given solo recital and concerto solo appearances,
prepared for and passed auditions for entry to the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, and
is currently preparing for undergraduate conservatory studies that will begin in August of 2024.


Since 2019, Mr. Umamoto has presented critically acclaimed recital programs at the Carmel
Bach Festival, the Paso Robles Paderewski Youth Piano Competition, the Northern California All
State Recital, and the Central Coast Chamber Choir. In 2022 he appeared as a featured soloist
with the Hartnell College Community Orchestra and Monterey County Pops, with notable
performances of Rachmaninov 2nd Piano Concerto, Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals, Chopin
Grand Polonaise Brilliante, and Liszt Transcendental Etude Chasse Neige.
